THANK YOU FOR VIEWING OUR LISTINGS!
Lonely Planet says, "Get ready for tasty waves, creative kitchens and babes in bikinis..." and that is pretty much right on time. The beaches are beautiful and the main road of Mal Pais, Carmen Beach, Santa Teresa and many others run parallel to the beach, so no matter where you are, you're close to the water and can usually hear waves crashing. There are a ton of great options for dining from the high end to fish tacos and beers...
Mal Pais is a few minutes south down the street and is popular with surfers and fishermen. It is also less populated than Santa Teresa and Carmen, so you'll find that it's a nice option for beating the crowds. When you come into town from Cobano, you land at the center of town in the commercial heartbeat of Carmen with lots of shopping and various stores, and then you can turn right and drive up towards Santa Teresa and Hermosa, or turn left to Mal Pais. It is breathtakingly beautiful here, a different paradise at every turn...
